Attic Hunt is built by Clearpass LLC. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what we need to deliver the scan-and-appraise experience.

What we collect

Photos you scan. When you scan an item, the photo is sent to our backend (this server) and forwarded to OpenAI's GPT-4 Vision API for identification. We do not retain the photo after the scan completes. OpenAI's API does not train on data sent through the API by default.
Anonymous usage analytics. Aggregate counts of scans, screen views, and crashes — no personally identifying information.
Email + first name (optional). If you opt in during onboarding, we store these to send you tips and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We never sell your data.
We don't share photos with third parties beyond the OpenAI API call required to identify the item.
We don't track you across other apps or websites.

You can request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing privacy@attichunt.com. We respond within 30 days.
